Opening hours
Weekdays: 9:00 AM - 5:45 PM.
Sundays and Holy days: 12:00 AM - 5:45 PM.
On January 1st, Christmas and Easter, the Basilica is closed from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Visits are always prohibited during religious services.
Rules and Regulations
An offering is required for entry to the Basilica, to support restoration and routine maintenance work, security, and the preservation of the artworks and the Basilica itself.
- Full ticket: € 3,50.
- Reduced ticket: € 1,50 (students aged 13 to 25).
- School groups: free for children up to 12 years old. From 13 years old, € 1.50 per person (free entry for teachers, accompanying adults and guides).
- Groups of at least 15 people: € 2 (accompanied by a guide with a valid ID card).
Free entrance:
- for prayer, Mass and confession
- residents of the Municipality of Venice
- people with physical disabilities and their carers
- authorised tour guides
- teachers accompanying school groups
- priests, religious brothers and sisters, seminarians
- children under 13.

We recommend that you always check the News section before your visit, in case of any closures due to services or events.
Please behave respectfully during your visit.
The use of microphones with amplifiers is not permitted.
The use of earphones is strongly recommended.

Rules of conduct
The Basilica of Saints Giovanni e Paolo is first of all a place of worship; therefore, please observe the following rules:
Entry is permitted only if you are dressed appropriately.
Please behave respectfully, maintaining silence and respect for others.
Food and drink are not permitted inside.
- Smoking is prohibited.
Animals are not permitted inside the Basilica.
Photos
Photos are allowed inside the Basilica.
The use of flash, tripods and other professional equipment is prohibited.
For professional photography, please contact the Basilica at santigiovanniepaolo@gmail.com to request specific written permission.
For the reproduction of images, please refer to the diocesan regulations governing the reproduction of cultural heritage owned by the Church.

 *apertura alle 8.00 dal 15 giugno al 4 settembre 2026.
Sabato: 9.00 – 19.30
· Il 1° gennaio e nelle solennità di Natale e di Pasqua, la Basilica chiude dalle ore 12.30 alle 17.30.
